Already a few years ago a plot on Warsaw disctrict of Wola, next to the intersection of Grzybowska of Wronia streets was a property of Browary Warszawskie (Warsaw Breweries) company. A popular Krolewskie (Royal) beer was produced here. Actually, beer was made in this place since pre-war times. A well-known brewery Haberbusch & Schiele used to function here then. After the war the company was nationalised and Warsaw Breweries were organised on its basis. But since long it was known that in the centre of Warsaw there is no space for beer production (and for manufactures at all). In 2004 the company was taken over by Zywiec group and the beer's production was moved to Warka (a town about 50 km south of Warsaw). It was decided that the factory's adaptation for new environmental rules would be too expensive. Two years later the plot of former brewery was bought by Spanish concern Grupo Prasa. Most of post-industrial buildings was then demolished. Only those ones which are prevented by the conservator (among other things Schiele's House) were preserved.

A large complex of buildings is planned to by constructed on the place of former brewery. Offices, as well as apartments and a hotel will be situated here, and maybe also a shopping centre. Three about 120-metre-high towers will be a part of the investment. They will be situated next to Grzybowska street, parallel to it, one after another. The investment is yet in an initial phase. It is worth mentioning, that some of the former brewery's cellars will be probably preserved and will become a part of the complex.
