Warsaw Uprising in 1944 is commonly considered to be one of most important events in the city's history. The Monument of Little Insurgent commemorates its youngest participants. It is worth mentioning that really not many young Insurgents were so well equipped as the one presented on the monument.

The monument stands on Podwale street, next to the Town Walls. It was made by Jerzy Jarnuszkiewicz who based on a model from 1946. It was unveiled on 1st of October 1983, the author handed it over to Warsaw scouts.
